Intonarumoriは、イタリア未来派のアーティストLuigi Russolo(1885-1947)が1913年に発明した騒音楽器だ。1913年ということは電気楽器ではないということだ。騒音も音楽素材として捉えるという考え方は、のちのミュージック・コンクレートに先立つものだった。
僕自身も子供のころから騒音も音楽の一つだと、ごく自然に思っていた。
実はこの名前、ゲルニカの当初のバンド名だった。それが44年を経て実在化する。
実在化にあたり、このプロジェクトの基本方針は、騒音も音楽素材とすることは言うまでもなく、ヒューマンボイスの追求、プロジェクト名とは逆にエレクトロニックであること、メロディと構築性の両立と見直し、などであろう。
音楽は作編曲：上野耕路、作詞（英詞）：谷嶋ちから、が中心となるが、映画的に言うところの主役となるのは、歌、ミキシング、一部編曲、アナログシンセ、作詞（英詞）の城戸美有紀である。

12音技法を用いながらここまでポップで美しい作品が今までにあっただろうか。 城戸美有紀の透明感のあるコーラスワークは、思春期の少女の不安定さ、そして成熟を夢見るみずみずしさを湛えている。

1920年代のヨーロッパの華やかでポップな文化をシニカルな歌詞とテンポの速い3拍子で表現。 途中入るアナログシンセは騒音の中踊り歌う高揚な世界を展開している。

イントナルモーリから全く新しいテクノポップの世界が提示された。唯一無二の圧倒的な力をもっている曲。 女性の一生、最期を迎えるまでを象徴的な1920年代パリのバレエシアターを中心に走馬灯のように駆け巡る。 曲、歌詞、アレンジ、ボーカル、すべてが奇跡のように絡み合った作品である。

Intonarumori, a noise instrument invented in 1913 by the Italian Futurist artist Luigi Russolo (1885-1947), is a prime example of this artistic innovation. The year 1913 indicates that the instrument was not electric. The notion of conceptualizing noise as a musical material predated the subsequent evolution of musique concrète.

It is a well-established fact that, since childhood, I have conceptualized noise as a form of music.

It is noteworthy that this designation served as the initial appellation for Gernica. After a period of 44 years, this vision is finally becoming a reality.

The project's fundamental principles, which served as its foundation, include the treatment of noise as musical material, the incorporation of the human voice, the embrace of electronic components despite the project's name, and the attainment of a balance between melody and structural integrity.

The core of its music consists of composer/arranger Koji Ueno and lyricist Chikara Yajima, who is responsible for the English lyrics. Miyuki Kido, in a way of the cinematic protagonist saying, handles vocals, mixing, some arrangements, analog synths, and English lyric writing.

"Pastrale Urbaine" is the first release from Intonarumori and will be available for digital deliver on October 29.

Miyuki Kido:
She was deeply touched by Koji Ueno's "Music for Silent Movies", released in 1985, and has had a long-standing appreciation for his music for over 40 years.
From 1995 to 2001, she was part of the electronic pop group eureka! (vocals and lyrics). Their first album, 'SKYSENSOR', received a lot of praise from critics. The band's release on a German label helped them get distribution in Europe and the United States. They also performed live and were featured in Italian Vogue and on French national television. This earned them a lot of recognition, especially in other countries.
Around 2020, she started making solo works.
In 2022, the soundtrack she composed for an indie film from Japan won multiple awards at international film festivals.
She also shares black-and-white, low-saturation photos of landscapes on Instagram.
In 2025, she worked on the website for Koji Ueno, which featured the photographer's work, and helped with projects like "Netsuzo and Gansaku" and the "Six Faces Original Soundtrack." For Intonarumori, she is in charge of the vocals, analog synthesizer, and mixing so far.
