1998年に相次いでリリースしたPiano MusicとChamber Musicの宣伝用フライヤーを見つけました。
すごい人々からのお言葉…。
それらに甘んじることができなかったその当時の自己評価の低さに驚愕する。
このあとぼくは捏造と贋作を経て、10代のころに一度あきらめたJazzの方へ、また大学で教えることへと人生をシフトさせた。今思うとほぼ白紙状態からの再出発のようだった。
Jazzへシフトした理由は、前衛/実験音楽では "relaxation"が、ロックでは "maturity" が表現できないと思ったからだった。
大学での授業は映画学科の映画音楽の授業で、その当時映画の仕事がほぼ無かったのだけど、自分はゴルフで言うところのレッスンプロに甘んじるのも悪くないと思ったのと、若い人たちに接することは今後の創作活動のヒントがそこにあるように思えたからだった。

I am amazed at how low my self-esteem was at that time, when I could not indulge in these things.
After that, I redirected my life, through Netsuzo and Gansaku, towards jazz, which I had once given up as a teenager, and back to teaching at university.
Looking back, it was almost like starting from scratch.
The reason for the change to jazz was that I thought that avant-garde/experimental music could not express 'relaxation' and rock music could not express 'maturity'.　　
The classes I teach at university are film music classes in the film department, although there was almost no film work at that time. By the way, in golf field, it would be described as a 'teaching professional', who only gives lessons not playing in field, and I thought it would be a good idea to be involved in music in such a position, and that there seemed to be clues to my future creative work in coming into contact with young people.
